Festival Mozaic is pleased to announce that the organization is the recipient of a $25,000 Matching Grant from Board of Directors member Edie Lycke and husband Bo Lycke. The grant will match, dollar for dollar, all donations from supporters who have not previously contributed to Festival Mozaic, as well as any dollar amount given above a returning donor's current giving level.
The campaign has a goal completion date of Saturday, October 31, 2020.
The Lyckes have made this commitment in appreciation of Festival Mozaic's Music Director, Scott Yoo, for his artistry and creative story-telling during his tenure of over fifteen years here in San Luis Obispo. In addition, Yoo's role as host and executive producer of PBS's Great Performance Series Now Hear This, where his elevated profile and expanded reach to audiences near and far will attract attention to the Festival and the San Luis Obispo region as a whole.
Edie and Bo hope that the establishment of the matching grant will inspire others—both individuals and institutions—to join them in investing in Festival Mozaic. The Festival has been a pillar of artistic excellence in SLO County for 50 years and it has plans to continue for another 50. But it can’t do that without significant support from the music lovers in our community.
