Young Artist Program

Festival Mozaic is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Young Artist Program, a groundbreaking initiative in collaboration with the esteemed Colorado College Summer Music Festival (CCSMF), where Scott Yoo is on faculty. A string quartet that was selected as part of the CCSMF audition process will form the Young Artist String Quartet. These young musicians are current students or recent graduates from two of the top music conservatories in the country. After they participate in the CCSMF during the month of June, they will travel to San Luis Obispo and join us at Festival Mozaic.

During the month of July they will experience chamber music coachings and master classes with Scott Yoo and cellist Bion Tsang, present community outreach events, and perform side-by-side with the Festival Mozaic Artists during the Main Stage concerts. We are excited to introduce them to you here.

We are proud to be partnering with the SLO Library Foundation to offer three Mini-Concerts with the Young Artist String Quartet at the libraries in Atascadero, Morro Bay, and Nipomo on July 10 and 11. The Young Artists will also perform a culminating concert at the United Methodist Church on July 12. Read below for information about these events.
