San Luis Obispo duo Jenny and Danny Grasseschi had long been dreaming of forming an acoustic trio with a strong emphasis on full vocal harmonies, but locating that third voice had been more difficult than they’d anticipated—until they met Jessy George, whose classical training combined with an undeniable soulful musicality, proved to be the elusive “secret weapon” they were looking for. With Jessy’s arrival in the summer of 2022, Rosewood & Honey was formed and the trio hasn’t looked back since, most often performing with double bassist Dave George and percussionist Mike Smothers.
