Amy Jo Rhine
Horn
Amy Jo Rhine was appointed Third Horn of the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2014. She was a member of the Memphis-based IRIS Orchestra and held principal positions with the Colorado Music Festival and Louisiana Philharmonic. A passionate educator, Rhine was the Assistant Professor of Horn at Wichita State University and happily shares her accumulated knowledge with both beginners and professionals. Rhine is grateful for the rich training she received from Verne Reynolds at the Eastman School of Music and James Decker at the University of Southern California. With her husband Greg Roosa, also an LA Phil horn player, and their sons they enjoy traveling and staying active.
