John Knutson
Bass-Baritone
John Knutson is Director of Choral Studies at Cuesta College. John performed with the professional ensemble, Vocalogy from 1998-2016. Vocalogy, created by grammy-nominated arranger and director Phil Mattson, toured all over the US and Europe and recorded two albums, Distilled and Refilled. Before moving to California, John taught at Southwestern Community College in Iowa. While at Southwestern, he performed with the award-winning vocal jazz group VoicesIowa. Prior to that John lived in New York City, where he taught choir at JHS #263 in Brooklyn, and performed with the a cappella cabaret group, the QuintEssentials in Greenwich Village cabaret clubs.
