Amethyst Shanks
Soprano
Amethyst Shanks is from San Luis Obispo and has grown up in a musical family. She is currently in her sophomore year at California Polytechnic University getting her Bachelor of Arts in music with a focus in violin performance. Her choral experience includes singing with the San Luis Obispo Master Chorale and Cal Poly Chamber Choir. Amethyst participated as part of the Barcelona Festival of Song in 2025 and recently sung as soloist with the Cal Poly Symphony in 2026. She is under the vocal instruction of Mary Sue Gee and Amy Goymerac.
