Summer of Music Film Series
Music and film have a synergistic connection and in celebration of Festival Mozaic's Summer 2025 San Luis Obispo Music Festival, the SLO Film Festival has curated the Summer of Music Film Series, a selection of curated music films exclusively playing at the SLO Film Center at the Palm Theater during the festival. Experience all you have come to expect from Festival Mozaic: chamber music, special guest artists, Notable Encounters, free Midday Mini-Concerts and now cinema.
The SLO Film Festival has partnered over the years with Festival Mozaic, but this year they are excited to present multiple films representing different genres of music through film. This specially curated series celebrates the transformative power of music and the artists who dare to follow their creative instincts. From the sun-soaked harmonies and inner struggles of Brian Wilson in Love & Mercy, to the groundbreaking fusion of classical compositions and animation in Disney’s Fantasia, to ¡Viva Maestro! which offers a stirring portrait of conductor Gustavo Dudamel as he navigates the intersections of art and activism, while One to One: John & Yoko invites us into the intimate world of two icons redefining music, love, and protest. Together, these films remind us that music is more than melody, it's memory, rebellion, healing, and human connection.
The Summer Film Series is presented by the SLO Film Festival and all ticketing will run through the SLO Film Center's ticketing website.
