Family Concert: Carnival of the Animals

The Movement Arts Center once again joins forces with Festival Mozaic to lead this family-friendly performance of Carnival of the Animals by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, featuring local dancers acting out each of the animals depicted by the live orchestra. This concert is open for all ages and will last under one hour without an intermission.

Come out to the CPAC at 10:30 AM for face painting and the SLO Symphony's Instrument Petting Zoo!

FACE PAINTING
Join us in the Performing Arts Courtyard in front of the theater for Face Painting by the Inspirational Art Center. Painting costs $20 for face painting, $15 for a cheek or eye design, and $10 for an arm design.
INSTRUMENT PETTING ZOO
Also in the Courtyard, please plan to visit the Instrument Petting Zoo sponsored by the San Luis Obispo Symphony. Kids can try playing a variety of musical instruments including string, wind and percussion instruments! Free of charge.
RUNTIME
The concert will begin at 11:30 AM and last approximately 45 minutes. There will not be an intermission.
DIRECTIONS & PARKING
The Harold J. Miossi CPAC is located on the Cuesta College campus on Highway 1 near the intersection with Hollister Road. Click here for directions via Google Maps. Ample free parking is available in Lot P2 directly in front of the venue. Parking permits are NOT required at Festival Mozaic concerts.
SEATING/TICKETS
Your tickets will be scanned before entering the lobby. Please print your tickets or be prepared to display them on your mobile device. If you forget your tickets, you may visit the box office to have them reprinted. The box office opens 60 minutes prior to the show. Your ticket will indicate a row and seat number. Once your ticket is scanned and you enter the lobby, an usher will assist you in finding your seat.
CONCESSIONS
A variety of light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the event. The menu will include Back Porch Bakery cookies, sodas, sparkling water, and Open Water bottled water. Please note that no food or drink is allowed inside the lobby or theater, except for sealed bottled water.
