Four Rational People is a 2026 documentary chronicling the final season of the acclaimed Emerson String Quartet after a fifty-year career. The film intimately captures the group's decision to disband, interweaving performances, reflections on aging, and their emotional, bittersweet farewell to the music and friendship that defined them.

The Palm Theater is located at 817 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo. We recommend parking in the City of SLO parking structureacross the street from the Palm Theatre. Street parking is also available.

The film will begin at 1:00 PM and the runtime is approximately 2 hours.
SEATING & TICKETS
Your tickets will be scanned before entering the lobby. Please print your tickets or be prepared to display them on your mobile device. If you forget your tickets, you may visit the box office to check-in by last name. The box office opens one hour prior to the show. Seating at this event is General Admission, first-come, first-served. Once your ticket is scanned and you enter the lobby, an usher will assist you in finding your seat.
