On a String (2025), directed by and starring Juilliard-trained violist Isabel Hagen, is an indie comedy-drama about a struggling musician navigating New York City's freelance scene. While living with her parents, Isabel plays low-end gigs, dealing with toxic ex-boyfriends and artistic apathy while deciding whether to pursue a major orchestra audition.
Presented in collaboration with the SLO International Film Festival.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING
The Palm Theater is located at 817 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo. We recommend parking in the City of SLO parking structureacross the street from the Palm Theatre. Street parking is also available.
PROGRAM/RUNTIME
The film will begin at 2:00 PM and the runtime is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. A Q&A session with the filmmaker Isabel Hagen will follow.
SEATING & TICKETS
Your tickets will be scanned before entering the lobby. Please print your tickets or be prepared to display them on your mobile device. If you forget your tickets, you may visit the box office to check-in by last name. The box office opens one hour prior to the show. Seating at this event is General Admission, first-come, first-served. Once your ticket is scanned and you enter the lobby, an usher will assist you in finding your seat.
CONCESSIONS
The Palm Theater concessions stand will be open, offering a variety of movie theater classic concessions including popcorn, candy, and sodas.
