Poets Prageeta Sharma and MT Vallarta lead this free reading of their original works.

PRAGEETA SHARMA
On faculty at Pomona College, Sharma is an award-winning poet, author of five collections, and founder of Thinking Its Presence, recognized with a 2010 Howard Foundation Award.

MT VALLARTA
Vallarta is a Filipinx poet and professor at Cal Poly, author of What You Refuse to Remember, whose work explores anti-imperialism, disability, and queer futures.

Presented in partnership with the SLO County Arts Council.

EDNA Contemporary Gallery is located at 967 Osos Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. Click here for directions via Google Maps. We recommend parking in the City of SLO parking structure around the corner, next to the SLO Library. Street/metered parking is also available.

PROGRAM/RUNTIME
The doors will open at 1:30 PM. Local jazz saxophonist Ron McCarley will delight us with music before the poets take the stage. The event should conclude around 3:30 PM.

SEATING & TICKETS
This event is general admission, first-come first-served for seating. You will check-in by last name at the door. You do not need to print your tickets for this event.

CONCESSIONS
Central Coast wines will be available free of charge at this event. Water and sparkling water will also be available. Food concessions will not be sold at this event.
