Juliane retired to Los Osos in 2011 after a 40-year teaching career in Los Angeles. Already a Festival fan, after her move she became a regular and joined the board in 2014. In addition to her work with the Festival Board, she serves on the board of the SLO County Library Foundation and as Community Liaison for Meals That Connect. She holds degrees from Stanford and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
