Dr. Albert A. Liddicoat was appointed Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs for Cal Poly in September 2025, after serving in the interim role from April 2025. Liddicoat previously served as Interim Vice Chancellor for Human Resources at the California State University system. Liddicoat holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in industrial engineering and engineering management, all from Stanford University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Cal Poly.
