Laura Brenes

French horn player Laura Brenes began playing at age nine and pursued music professionally after joining the Disney Collegiate All-Star Band in 1999. She earned her master’s degree at USC, studying with Vince DeRosa, and performed with local orchestras while still in school. Her career has included international tours with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, performing at the Academy Awards, and appearances at Coachella Music Festival. She has recorded extensively for film and television soundtracks, including Star Wars and several animated Disney films. She has served as solo principal horn on major projects and released her solo album A Time and a Place in 2015.
