Audience Requirements

In accordance with recommendations from the California Department of Public Health, all guests attending ticketed events at Festival Mozaic will be required to abide by the following guidelines until futher notice:
  • Vaccinated guests must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with one of the following: CDC Vaccination Card (physical card or photo), or a digital COVID-19 vaccine record, along with a government-issued photo ID matching the name on the vaccine record. People are considered "fully vaccinated" for COVID-19 after 14 days since they have received their 2nd vaccine dose.
  • Unvaccinated guests, including children over the age of 2 who are unable to be vaccinated, must show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.  Bring a printed document, email or text message of your results along with a government-issued photo ID matching the name on your test results. At-home tests and rapid tests will not be accepted. Minors are not required to provide a photo ID but will be required to provide proof of a negative test result.
  • All guests, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a face mask at all times while attending indoor events, unless actively eating or drinking. In general, food and beverages are not allowed inside the theater or performance halls. Guests must wear face coverings that cover both the nose and mouth. Masks are available upon request. The following are prohibited: masks with exhalation valves; masks made of loosely woven fabrics; scarves, buffs, bandanas, gaiters, and face shields alone (inadequate protection). Approved disposable masks will be available at all events.  Those not wearing proper face coverings will be asked to use a Festival-provided mask or to kindly exit the venue. 

For Your Safety

  • All staff, artists, vendors, and volunteers working at our events will be required to be fully vaccinated or provide proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the venue.
  • Masks will be available upon request.
  • Many of our venues have improved their ventilation and air circulation systems and have implemented enhanced cleaning practices.

Frequently Asked Questions


Q: Can I show a digital proof of vaccine or test result?

A: Yes, you can show your vaccine record as a photograph on your phone or use the California Department of Public Health's digital vaccine record/QR code system. Additionally, test results may also be shown as a photo/scan of a printed document, email, or text message.

Q: Does the testing or the results need to occur 72 hours prior to the event I am attending?

A: The actual testing needs to take place 72 hours prior to the event and those results need to be available before the event in order to receive a wristband at the Verification Checkpoint. County testing sites typically have a 1-2 day turnaround time. Example: for an event on Thursday, October 28 show, we are only able to accept negative test results between 10/25-28.

Q: Can children just mask or do they have to show negative test results in order to attend indoor events?

A: Children who are not vaccinated do need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test result 72 hours prior to attending an indoor event. Everyone above the age of 2 is required to wear a proper face covering indoors at all times, regardless of vaccination status.

Q: I recently had COVID-19, do I have to test?

A: If you had a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 90 days, you are exempt from screening upon showing proof of positive test. If you recovered more than 90 days ago, you are required to test.

Q: I have a medical condition and am unable to receive the vaccine. Am I exempt?

A: You are not required to receive the vaccine. You will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test result 72 hours prior to attending a Festival Mozaic event.
