Chamber Concert 3: Music & Wine

Scott Yoo is joined by sommelier Cassandra Tarantino, Level III ISG, to host this curated wine and musical experience. Clarke’s Midsummer Moon and Glazunov’s Rêverie orientale, both ethereal tone poems, set the stage for this program. Israeli-American composer Shulamit Ran’s Lyre of Orpheus for string sextet tells the sorrowful story of a deep love lost. Following is Prokofiev’s playful quintet for oboe, clarinet, violin, viola and bass. Rounding out the program is Turina’s piano quartet, a piece infused with the spirit of his native Spain.
Each chamber music selection will be paired with a Cass wine and an appetizer. Your hosts will guide you through the selections, offering insight into the musical works, drawing connections between the wine and the music, and offering tasting notes for the wines.

Cass Winery is located at 7350 Linne Road, Paso Robles, CA 93446. Our event will take place in the Barrel Room which is located up the hill from the main tasting room near the Geneseo Inn. Follow Event signs to the entrance for the Barrel Room. Click here for directions via Google Maps. Ample free parking is available in the parking lot in front of the venue.
SEATING/TICKETS
You will be seated at tables of 8 guests for this event. You will check in by last name at the door and given a table number assignment.
RUNTIME & PROGRAM
The lobby of the building will be open at 3:45 PM for checking in and receiving your welcome glass of sparkling wine! At 4:00 we will move into the main event space and take our seats. The concert will begin around 4:15 PM. Each musical selection will be preceded by some remarks from music director Scott Yoo and host/sommelier Cassandra Tarantino. A selection of three wines and three appetizers will be served to you at your table.
