Orchestra Concert: Kim, Rachmaninoff & Brahms

Scott Yoo leads the Festival Mozaic Orchestra in a thrilling finale concert of the 2026 San Luis Obispo Summer Music & Arts Festival. Earl Kim's Cornet opens the program, featuring Jane Kaczmarek as narrator. Following this is Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto, one of the composer's most enduringly popular works, with Sergei Babayan as soloist. After intermission is Brahms's second symphony, a piece in many moods that ultimately ends with an exuberant finale.

RUNTIME
The concert will begin at 7:30 PM and will last approximately 2 hours, with a 20-minute intermission. Please join Dr. Alyson McLamore for a free pre-concert lecture at 6:30 PM on the main stage. This lecture is free and open to all ticket holders.
DIRECTIONS & PARKING
The PAC is located on the Cal Poly campus in San Luis Obispo. Click here for directions via Google Maps. Parking in the structure is included with your event ticket. Please use the left lane to turn into the structure and attendants or signs will direct you where to park. In an effort to speed up your exit after the event, a portion of vehicles may be directed to park in the 131 structure. The top level of the structure is available for patrons with disability placards/license plates and Foundation for the PAC pass holders. The bottom level of the structure has electric vehicle charging stations if needed.

ADA PARKING
If you have mobility impaired patrons, you may drop off in the Circle Driveway of the Performing Arts Center before heading to park. ADA Parking is available on the top level of the Parking Structure with a valid Handicapped/ADA placard or hanging tag.
SEATING/TICKETS
Your tickets will be scanned before entering the lobby. Please print your tickets or be prepared to display them on your mobile device. If you forget your tickets, you may visit the box office for assistance, located on the Grand Avenue side of the building. The box office opens 90 minutes prior to the show. Your ticket will indicate a section, row and seat number. Once your ticket is scanned and you enter the lobby, an usher will assist you in finding your seat.
CONCESSIONS
A variety of light snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wines will be available for purchase at the PAC's concessions stand Ovations. Please note that food is not allowed inside the theater. Beverages purchased at Ovations and refillable water bottles may be brought into the theater. Water fill stations are located in the lower lobby near the restrooms and on the balcony level near the men's restroom. Purchase or bring your reusable Festival Mozaic wine tumbler to save $5 on your glass of wine!
