Susan Cahill: An Afternoon of Music & Theater
$50 (including fees)
Festival Mozaic welcomes back 2026 Artist-in-Residence Susan Cahill, bassist and composer, for the exciting conclusion of her residency. In this eclectic and genre-defying performance, Cahill is joined by actor and composition partner Jon Wilkerson for new works that blend dramatic storytelling with virtuosic double bass. Jazz pianist and Cal Poly jazz department chair Jamaal Baptiste joins Cahill for a lively mix of jazz standards, Cahill’s original compositions, and spontaneous improvisations.
Like their previous collaboration, Sonata for Double Bass and iTunes User Agreement, Cahill and Wilkerson’s new works promise an inventive fusion of music, theater, humor, and unexpected surprises.
This event will take place in the Experimental Theater (black box theater) at Cuesta College's Harold J. Miossi Cultural & Performing Arts Center. All seating is general admission. The theater will be transformed into a club-like venue, perfect for the afternoon's experimental programming.
Entry will be through the "Stage Door" to the far right side of the building near the bottom of the ramp.
